On-Screen Practices

Grid Support Tools

These are simple on-screen practices for returning to your body, slowing the nervous system, and anchoring insight into lived experience.

The 60-Second Return

A nervous system reset for moments of overwhelm

When your body is activated, your first task is not to solve the whole problem. Your first task is to come back into yourself.

  1. Place one hand on your chest or belly.
  2. Unclench your jaw.
  3. Drop your shoulders.
  4. Take one slow inhale.
  5. Lengthen the exhale.
  6. Look around the room and name five things you can see.
  7. Ask yourself: Am I in the present moment, or am I inside an old feeling?

Regulation is not weakness. It is the body remembering safety.

The Body Knows First

A somatic inquiry for emotional clarity

Before the mind explains, defends, analyzes, or performs… the body usually knows. This reflection helps you notice where truth, stress, grief, anger, and intuition live physically.

  1. Where do I feel tension right now?
  2. Is this sensation heavy, sharp, numb, hot, tight, restless, or collapsed?
  3. What emotion might this sensation be carrying?
  4. What am I trying to rush past?
  5. What would my body ask for if I stopped forcing it to keep up with my mind?
  6. What changes when I slow down enough to listen?

The body often whispers before life has to shout.

Rhythm Over Reaction

A practice for slowing emotional speed

The Grid teaches rhythm. Not suppression. Not silence. Not pretending you are fine. Rhythm is the sacred pause between activation and action.

When something emotionally charged happens, ask:

  1. Do I need to respond right now?
  2. Is my body steady enough to speak clearly?
  3. Am I trying to be understood, or am I trying to discharge discomfort?
  4. Would this response still feel true tomorrow?
  5. What would change if I waited one sunset?

The pause is not avoidance. It is where your power comes back online.

The Grid is where remembrance becomes embodied.

Further Into The Grid

"You cannot think your way into a new body.
But you can learn to feel your way there."
